BECKLEY, West Virginia -- WVU Tech men's basketball recorded its third consecutive win with an 87-67 decision over Bluefield University Thursday evening. The Golden Bears boost their record to 7-6 while the Rams move to 6-9.
Redshirt sophomore
Bryce Radford led all scorers with 30 points including an 8-for-13 effort from three-point range. Radford also recorded seven assists and two rebounds.
Junior
Keondre' King drained six treys towards 19 points to go with five rebounds and two assists.
Fellow junior
Andrew Work also hit double-digits for the Gold and Blue posting 13 points, seven rebounds, six assists and a block.
Brant Smithers, a freshman, hit three three's and tallied nine points to go with seven assists, two rebounds and a steal.
Junior
Ashton Parker finished with six points while fellow classmate
Saliou Diop pulled down six boards.
As a team, Tech finished 33-for-62 (53.2 percent) from the floor while holding the Rams to a 29-for-62 (46.8 percent) effort. The Golden Bears and Rams were almost even under the boards with 33 and 32 rebounds respectively.
WVU Tech will host Alice Lloyd College in River States Conference action Monday, December 19 for its next contest.
