BECKLEY, West Virginia -- (RV) WVU Tech men's basketball picked up its fourth straight win, defeating Point Park University 100-70 in River States Conference (RSC) play Tuesday evening. The Golden Bears are 21-4, 12-2 (RSC) this season and Point Park holds a record of 9-13, 4-10 (RSC).
Keondre' King had a standout game, posting career-highs in nine made from beyond the arc and 34 points. King was also a perfect 5-for-5 from the bonus line.
Juvante' Hayes came off the bench to pour in 16 points for the Gold and Blue.
Gunner Short finished with 15 points while
Thomas Hailey had 13, both pulled down four rebounds.
Ashton Parker led the way under the boards, grabbing a game-best ten rebounds to go with six points.
As a team, Tech finished 33-for-53 (62.3 percent) from the floor while holding the Pioneers to a 22-for-50 (44.0 percent) effort. Tech also dominated in rebounds, 33-15.
The Golden Bears will stay home when they host Carlow University Saturday at 1 p.m. in more conference play.
