Golden Bears fall to IU East

Women's Basketball

BECKLEY, West Virginia -- WVU Tech fell to Indiana University East in River States Conference (RSC) play 83-75 Tuesday evening. The Golden Bears now hold a record of 11-8, 4-4 (RSC) while the Red Wolves move to 5-12, 4-3 (RSC).

Faith N. Silva led all scorers with 28 points including five trey's and a perfect 7-for-7 effort from the foul line. Silva also had three steals, three assists and two boards.

Janaya Berry came off the bench to pour in 17 points to go with five rebounds, two steals and an assist.

Also hitting double-digits, Alva Hedrich finished with ten points, seven rebounds, one assist and a steal.

Ca'Vashia Johnson produced nine points, four rebounds, an assist and a steal while Alyssa Taylor had six rebounds, four assists and four points.

The team will next host Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College Thursday, January 19 in the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center.
