OWENSBORO, Kentucky -- WVU Tech men's basketball fell to Brescia University 74-53 in River States Conference (RSC) action Tuesday evening. The Golden Bears now hold a record of 8-8, 3-3 (RSC) while the Bearcats move to 6-4, 3-3 (RSC).
Freshman
Brant Smithers led the Gold and Blue with 15 points to go with five rebounds.
Junior
Ashton Parker finished with 14 points, eight boards, three assists and two blocks.
Fellow classmate
Andrew Work rounded out the top scorers for Tech with 10 points to go with eight rebounds, one assist and a steal.
The team finished 22-for-52 (42.3 percent) from the floor while the Bearcats shot 30-for-74 (40.5 percent). Tech also held the edge under the boards, 41-39.
The Golden Bears will next host Oakland City University at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center this Saturday, January 7.Â
