PIPESTEM, W.Va. -- WVU Tech men's cross country finished second at the Concord Alumni Invite Friday at Pipestem State Park.Â
The Golden Bears were led by junior
Zaccerie Penka (Blackwell, Okla.) who finished 13th out of 46 runners with a 30:10 in the 8k. Sophomore
Christian Saffouri (Beckley, W.Va.) crossed next for the Gold and Blue at 30:40 for 16th place.
The next three finishers for Tech were sophomore
Samuel Whitcomb (Waynesboro, Va.) and freshmen
Matthew Miller (Chesapeake, W.Va.) and
Caden Luyett (Inverness, Fl.) who finished in succession at 22nd (31:34), 23rd (31:37) and 24th (31:44) respectively.
The team will be back in action next Saturday, October 21 when they travel for the LVC Last Chance Run Fast.
