As WVU Tech gets ready for student-athletes to make their way to Beckley for the 2023-2024 season, the Golden Bear Sports Information Department wanted to share ways fans can keep up with the 18 athletic programs at Tech throughout the year.
Currently, WVU Tech has five social media platforms, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Threads and YouTube that combine for nearly 11,400 followers, plus two Flickr accounts that house photos of our Golden Bears in action, head shots and team photos free to fans for download and viewing.
All game previews, scores, recaps and award releases are posted on WVU Tech's Official Athletic Website goldenbearathletics.com. Live statistics and live video for games (when available) can be found on the schedules on the site and Game Day Central at goldenbearathletics.com/coverage . The releases are also pushed to Facebook and Twitter while graphics are posted to Instagram and Facebook.
For Facebook and YouTube, search WVU Tech Athletics to begin following/subscribing. For Instagram, Threads and Twitter, the handle or username is @WVUTechSports. Great photos provided by James Holloway and Dr. Deb Buetler can be found at flickr.com/photos/wvutech and photos by the athletic department can be found at flickr.com/photos/wvutech_athletics.
We are also excited to introduce Monty GIFs available on most social media and text platforms via GIPHY and tenor. Get the full scoop on the GIFs here.
Throughout the year, most home events are streamed through Blueframe Technology and Stretch Internet at no cost for the viewer. Games are then archived and can be watched anytime using the on-demand feature. The athletic department's channel can be found at portal.stretchinternet.com/wvutech or by searching "NAIA Network" on participating smart devices. Esports competes live on Twitch for many events at twitch.tv/wvutechgoldenbears.
