BECKLEY, W.Va. -- WVU Tech men's basketball is enjoying a four-game winning streak after defeating Washington Adventist University 83-72 Wednesday evening at the Beckley Raleigh County Convention Center. The Golden Bears are undefeated at 4-0 while the Shock move to 3-5.
Freshman
Braden Chapman (Beaver, W.Va.) led the game with 28 points including a flawless 8-for-8 showing at the foul line. B. Chapman also had a team-best six boards to go with four assists and a steal.
Shooting 11-for-13 from the field, sophomore
Thomas Hailey (Monroe, N.C.) poured in 23 points and added five boards, an assist and a steal.
Senior
Andrew Work (Oak Hill, W.Va.) and sophomore
Brant Smithers (Williamstown, Ky.) had 12 and 11 points respectively while both pulled down five boards each. Smithers had six assists while Work dished two and had a steal.
The Golden Bears will host again Tuesday, November 21 when University Rio Grande travels to Beckley for a 7:30 p.m. tipoff. The game will open up both teams River States Conference season.
