GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- WVU Tech women's basketball traveled to No. 13 Georgetown College for a non-conference contest, falling 96-56 Saturday afternoon. The Golden Bears now hold a record of 2-6 while the Tigers stay undefeated at 13-0.
Sophomore
Alva Hedrich (Muecke, Hessen, Germany) recorded a game-high 21 points on 9-for-17 shooting. Hedrich also had a team-best six rebounds to go with two assists and a steal.
Also hitting double-digits for the Gold and Blue was sophomore
Alexis Sexton (Lexington, S.C.) who poured in ten points.
Senior
Marquesia Heidt (Townsend, Ga.) came off the bench to produce eight points and two boards.
Junior
Stacey Begay (Chinle, Ariz.) and freshman
Kyra Brown (Charleston, W.Va.) added six points each.
Under the boards, Sexton, Begay and sophomore
Avery Lucas (Hamlin, W.Va.) pulled down three rebounds apiece.
The Gold and Blue will next travel to Florida for the West Palm Beach Invite December 17-18.
