CHARLESTON, West Virginia -- WVU Tech baseball earned a 5-4 non-conference victory over Kentucky Christian University Tuesday afternoon. The Golden Bears now hold a record of 17-21 while the Knights move to 15-24.
Noah Lukas helped lead at the plate for Tech, tallying two hits including a double and two RBI.
Broedy Boyce knocked a triple towards two hits and a RBI.
Logan Spurlock and
Francesco Calderon plated a run each.
Logan Stump drew the start on the bump, striking out four in 2.1 innings.
Ben Palomo struck out six batters in 3.0 innings of work.Â
Cole Cline earned the W after 0.1 innings, facing three batters and giving up just one earned run.
Tyler Wilkinson was given the save after hopping on the bump from third in the ninth inning with two runners on and zero outs. Wilkinson faced three batters and gave up zero hits and zero runs.
The Gold and Blue will return to River States Conference play Friday and Saturday for a three-game series against Indiana University Southeast.
