CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio -- WVU Tech softball earned two victories, 10-7 and 5-2 (8 Innings), in River States Conference (RSC) play at Ohio Christian University Monday. The Golden Bears move to 19-19, 9-11 (RSC) in 2023 while the Trailblazers have a record of 18-18, 8-12 (RSC).
Courtney Miles pitched to both victories in the circle for the Gold and Blue. Miles threw for 12.0 innings towards 11 strike outs while giving up just three earned runs towards a doubleheader 1.75 ERA.
Mackenzie Siersma put in 2.0 innings of work towards two K's while
Emma Crisswell threw for 1.0 inning and struck out one batter.
Hailea Skeens blasted three home runs during the series, finishing 4-for-5 at the plate towards four RBI and five runs scored.
Kyleigh Jackson,
Gabrielle Pyles and
Scarlet Janney all drove in three runs and tallied a double. Janney finished the series with four hits while Jackson and Pyles had two each.
The Golden Bears will continue conference play Friday, April 21 when they host Midway University for two games.
