CHARLESTON, West Virginia -- WVU Tech baseball tallied a 9-4 victory over River States Conference (RSC) opponent Ohio Christian University Friday. The Golden Bears now hold a record of 18-28, 10-15 (RSC) while the Trailblazers move to 14-19, 11-14 (RSC).
Chase Herndon threw for 3.1 innings towards the W on the bump after striking out two and giving up three earned runs.
Tyler Wilkinson (2.1) struck out two while
Braedan Pakkala (0.1) and
Ben Palomo (1.0) retired one via strikes each.
Francesco Calderon helped lead a the plate, finishing a perfect 2-for-2 including a homer, a sac fly and two RBI for the Gold and Blue.
Broedy Boyce also had two hits towards two RBI and a run scored.
Noah Lukas,
Jordan Thurmond and
Cody Cooper plated a run each.
The Golden Bears will finish out the three-game series tomorrow, Saturday with a doubleheader beginning at 12 p.m.
