SOUTH CHARLESTON, West Virginia -- WVU Tech softball fell 0-4 before blanking Ohio Christian University 1-0 in game two during a River States Conference (RSC) doubleheader Monday. The Golden Bears now hold a record of 14-12, 4-4 (RSC) while the Trailblazers move to 15-9, 5-5 (RSC).
In game one,
Emma Crisswell threw for 7.0 innings towards ten strike outs while
Gracey Dearmon was dealt the loss in the circle after facing five batters in the first.
Courtney Miles pitched a no-hitter for the W in Tech's win, striking out six batters while walking just one Trailblazer.
Macy Wilkens rocked a double in the bottom of the fourth in game two, plating the winning run which was recorded by
Tori Wells.
Scarlet Janney notched the only multi-hit day, posting two hits for the Gold and Blue.
The team will be right back in action tomorrow, Tuesday when they play host to conference opponent University of Rio Grande for two more games.
