SUMMERSVILLE, W.Va. -- WVU Tech women's basketball hosted River States Conference (RSC) opponent Brescia University at Summersville Arena Tuesday and earned its second consecutive victory. The Golden Bears now hold a record of 4-9, 1-2 (RSC) while the Bearcats move to 4-8, 0-4 (RSC) after a score of 53-39.
Four Golden Bears scored double-digits including a game-best 13 points from sophomore
Alexis Sexton (Lexington, S.C.). Senior
Marquesia Heidt (Townsend, Ga.) added 12 points while sophomore
Alva Hedrich (Muecke, Hessen, Germany) had 11 points and senior
Breeana Grigsby (Stockton, Calif.) recorded ten points.
Hedrich and Grigsby each posted a double-double with 15 and 13 rebounds respectively. Hedrich also had seven assists while Grigsby had two steals.
Sophomore
Nell Marx (Stockholm, Sweden) pulled down six boards to go with three points.
WVU Tech will continue conference play Saturday, January 6 when they travel to Oakland City University for a 1 p.m. tipoff.
