SUMMERSVILLE, W.Va. -- WVU Tech men's basketball has won six consecutive games after defeating River States Conference (RSC) opponent Brescia University 89-72 Tuesday. The Golden Bears boast a record of 10-3, 3-1 (RSC) while the Bearcats move to 3-6, 1-3 (RSC).
Five Golden Bears scored in double-digits including a team-best 18 points from sophomore
Thomas Hailey (Monroe, N.C.). Hailey also had six assists, three rebounds and two blocks.
Senior
Ashton Parker (Rock Hill, S.C.) finished with 17 points, nine boards, six assists and two blocks.
Freshmen
Liam Craven (Brantford, Ontario, Canada) and
Cameron Danser (Morgantown, W.Va.) both came off the bench to produce 15 points each. Craven recorded four rebounds and three assists while Danser had one of each -- steal, block and rebound.
Fellow freshman
Braden Chapman (Beaver, W.Va.) added 12 points, nine assists, five rebounds, three steals and a block.
Freshman
Cole Chapman (Beaver, W.Va.) pulled down nine boards to go with seven points, three assists and three steals.
WVU Tech will continue conference play Saturday, January 6 when they travel to Oakland City University for a 3 p.m. tipoff.
