Beckley, W.Va. - WVU Tech women's basketball dropped a 60-50 decision against River States Conference (RSC) opponent Indiana University Southeast Saturday. The Golden Bears move to 4-15, 1-8 (RSC) while the Grenadiers hold a record of 8-10, 5-6.
Tech was led by sophomore 
Alexis Sexton (civil engineering) who finished with 14 points and had six rebounds, three assists and two steals.
Freshman 
Emily Sharkey (criminal justice) came off the bench to produce 13 points, six rebounds and an assist.
Sophomore 
Alva Hedrich (mathematics) and senior Breena Grigsby (sports management) recorded six points each. Hedrich pulled down a team-high nine boards while Grigsby had three.
Junior 
Leonor Ferreira (sports management) totaled eight rebounds, five points and a block.
The Golden Bears will be back in action Tuesday when they travel to Shawnee State University for more conference play.
