BECKLEY, W.Va. -- WVU Tech women's basketball played its final regular season home game Tuesday at the Beckley Raleigh County Convention Center, falling to Shawnee State University 67-43 in a River States Conference (RSC) match-up. The Golden Bears move to 5-21, 2-14 (RSC) while the Bears hold a record of 18-9, 10-6 (RSC).
Senior
Breeana Grigsby (sports management) led the Gold and Blue with 11 points and added five rebounds and one of each -- steal, block and assist.
Sophomore
Alva Hedrich (mathematics) poured in nine points and pulled down seven boards to go with an assist and a block.
Junior
Stacey Begay (sports management) finished with eight points, two steals and a rebound while sophomore
Alexis Sexton (civil engineering) had six rebounds, five assists, two points, two steals and a block.
The team will finish the regular season at Point Park University this Friday. Tip-off is scheduled for 5 p.m.
