BECKLEY, W.Va. -- WVU Tech women's basketball faced River States Conference (RSC) opponent Point Park University Saturday afternoon in the Beckey Raleigh County Convention Center, falling 89-55 to the Pioneers.
Junior
Stacey Begay (Chinle, Ariz.) came off the bench, producing 14 points to lead the Gold and Blue. Fellow junior
Leonor Ferreira (Matoshinos, Portugal) had eight points and five rebounds in 11 minutes of play.
Sophomore
Alva Hedrich (Muecke, Hessen, Germany) finished with seven points and three boards while sophomore
Alexis Sexton (Lexington, S.C.) had six points and four assists.
Under the boards, seniorsÂ
Elysia Perez (Guam) and
Breeana Grigsby (Stockton, Calif.) pulled down five and four rebounds respectively.
The Golden Bears will continue conference play Tuesday when they travel to Ohio Christian University for a 5:30 p.m. tip-off.
