PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- WVU Tech men's basketball ended its 2023-2024 campaign in a semifinal of the River States Conference Championship at Point Park University Saturday. The Golden Bears fell 87-63 and finish the season with a record of 18-10 while the Pioneers move on at 28-2.
Three Golden Bears hit double-digits including 22 points from freshman
Braden Chapman (Beaver, W.Va.). Chapman also had four boards, two assists and a steal.
Seniors
Ashton Parker (Rock Hill, S.C.) and
Andrew Work (Oak Hill, W.Va.) poured in 21 and ten points respectively. Parker added five blocks, five rebounds and a steal while Work finished with three rebounds, two assists and a block.
Freshman
Cole Chapman (Beaver, W.Va.) came off the bench to pull down six rebounds while producing three points, two assists and a steal.
Sophomore
Brant Smithers (Williamstown, Ky.) had three points while sophomore
Thomas Hailey (Monroe, N.C.) and freshman
Cameron Danser (Morgantown, W.Va.) had two each.
