BECKLEY, W.Va. -- WVU Tech baseball hosted Alice Lloyd College Friday and Saturday for a three-game River States Conference (RSC) series, taking it 2-1 with scores of 9-2, 18-0 and 10-11. The Golden Bears move to 18-15, 7-8 (RSC) while the Eagles hold a record of 16-21, 3-12 (RSC).
Junior
William Gray (Rockwell, N.C.) led the way at the plate over three games, recording eight hits in 12 appearances. Gray added eight RBI, two home runs and five runs scored.
Fellow junior
Noah Lukas (Ocala, Flda.) had six hits including two triples towards four RBI and seven runs scored.
Junior
Broedy Boyce (Ripley, W.Va.) and sophomore
Noah Cummings (Alum Creek, W.Va.) drove in four runs each off of five and four hits respectively. Three of Cummings' knocks were doubles while both crossed the plate twice.

Hunter Fansler (Beckley, W.Va) tallied four hits including four runs scored, three RBI, a long ball and a double.
On the mound, senior
Matthew Gainer (Elkins, W.Va) earned the first W after 7.0 innings of work. Gainer struck out five while scattering four hits towards a 0.00 ERA as Tech won 9-2.
Junior
Robert Kelley (Vienna, W.Va) threw for 6.0 innings in game three for the victory, striking out ten and giving up just one hit in the shut out.
The Golden Bears will next host West Virginia Wesleyan Tuesday, April 2 at GoMart Ballpark in Charleston, W.Va. at 3 p.m.
