FORT WAYNE, Ind. – WVU Tech volleyball tipped off its season with two matches at the Onset Invitational in Fort Wayne. The Golden Bears first fell to Grace College 0-3 (16-25, 16-25, 8-25) before dropping a 1-3 (20-25, 13-25, 25-20, 21-25) decision to Spring Arbor University.

Madison Boswell led the Golden Bears' attack with 19 kills while Emily Stack logged 14 and Giulia Colombo had nine kills. 

The back row defense was led by Brooke Presley with 31 digs while Marianna Oyola Rivera dished out 51 assists.

• Boswell finished with 19 kills, six digs and two block assists.

• Eden Miller, Blanca Marbà de Sivatte and Anaís González made their collegiate debuts.

NEXT UP
The Golden Bears will be back in action on tomorrow, Saturday to finish out the Onset Invitational against Indiana Tech and Fisk University beginning at 9 a.m.
