RIO GRANDE, Ohio -- WVU Tech volleyball battled for a 3-1 (25-18, 25-22, 25-27, 28-26) victory over Kentucky Christian University before falling 3-0 (16-25, 21-25, 23-25) to Cumberland University, finishing out the Emileigh Cooper Memorial Classic Saturday.

• Big defensive day as five Golden Bears hit double-digits in digs including Brooke Presley (29), Miriam Garcia Isabel (27), Peydon Smith (26), Anaís González (23) and Ivana Burgos (21).
• González finished with a double-double adding 66 assists and seven blocks.
• Nevaeh Wooding led the attack with 19 kills while Emily Stack and Madison Boswell logged 14 each.
• Wooding also put down seven total blocks.
