BECKLEY, W.Va. — WVU Tech Rocket League earned its first NECC Division IV Mideast B victory of the 2025 fall season Wednesday night, defeating Cleveland State University 4–1 in a best-of-seven series played remotely from the Golden Bear Esports Lab.
The Golden Bears — Waleed Alghamdi (FARGO), Jayden Rouse (Jaro) and Brayden Hanshew (Mune) — surged out to a 2–0 series lead and recovered quickly after dropping Game Three, sealing the match in five games with disciplined defense and consistent scoring.
With the result, WVU Tech improves to 1–3 in NECC Division IV Mideast B and 3–3 overall this season.
