BECKLEY, W.Va. — WVU Tech Overwatch 2 bounced back in NECC Horizon Lunar Colony play Friday night, sweeping Purdue University 3-0 from the Golden Bear Esports Lab. With the win, the Golden Bears improved to 1-1 in league play.

Game 1 — Esperança (1-0)
Tech opened strong with a disciplined push victory. Wyatt Plumley (Plum) paced the offense with nine eliminations and a team-high 9,605 damage. Keith Karwacki (TheWacki1) tallied 11 eliminations without a death while adding 9,105 damage mitigated. Trenton Windsor (Warpwo) added 10 eliminations and 7,694 damage. Logan Oliver (Goomba678) chipped in four eliminations, and Parker Jarrell (Quiet Otter) anchored the backline with 5,664 healing.

Game 2 — King's Row (1-0)
The Golden Bears extended their lead with a 1-0 win, powered by a monster outing from Plumley, who recorded 22 eliminations and 7,139 damage. Karwacki delivered 15 eliminations and a team-high 9,779 damage. Windsor added 16 eliminations, while Jarrell provided 9,635 healing. Oliver chipped in seven assists and 7,024 healing.

Game 3 — Samoa (2-0)
Tech sealed the sweep with a 2-0 victory, featuring another explosive performance from Plumley (23 eliminations, 9,976 damage). Karwacki and Windsor both posted 17 eliminations, with Karwacki adding 9,044 damage and 2,298 damage mitigated. Brahm Kestesron (Brahm) stepped into the lineup to produce 18 eliminations and 3,038 healing, while Jarrell contributed 6,390 healing.

Season so far
The Golden Bears moved to 1-1 in NECC play after dropping their opener to Community College of Allegheny County on Sept. 26. Tech went 2-1 in play-in matches Sept. 19, earning wins over Navy while falling to Wilkes University.

Overwatch 101
Overwatch 2 is a five-on-five hero shooter where teams compete across objective-based maps. Esperança is a Push map with a robot escort objective. King's Row is a Hybrid map that combines point capture with a payload escort. Samoa is a Control map where teams fight to hold zones until one side reaches 100%.
