MIDWAY, Ky. — WVU Tech swimming turned in a strong team showing on the road Saturday, as the Golden Bear men edged Midway University 110–109 while the women collected multiple personal bests in a competitive tri-meet featuring Asbury University and Midway.

Golden Bear Highlights
Men's Team
Junior Bryson George led the Golden Bears with wins in both the 100 breast (1:02.60) and 200 breast (2:44.75), recording season bests in each event while contributing to Tech's relay efforts.
Senior Jose Fernando Perez earned the sprint victory in the 50 free (22.56) and added a runner-up finish in the 100 free (50.02), both strong midseason marks.
Freshman Lorenzo Silva impressed in distance competition, earning runner-up finishes in the 500 free (5:17.90) and 1,000 free (10:43.06, PB) while adding a third-place result in the 400 IM (5:01.98).
Freshman Mauro Sanchez Lopez continued his consistent rookie campaign with second-place finishes in both the 100 fly (54.16) and 100 breast (1:05.77).
Sophomore Oleguer Siscart Muntané added a runner-up finish in the 200 fly (2:12.00) and helped Tech secure a relay silver.
Freshman Sebastian Morales Tito tallied two personal bests — 25.19 in the 50 free and 28.41 in the 50 fly — while Mason Adams recorded new bests in the 200 free (2:10.77) and 100 back (1:11.22).
Junior Alvaro Iglesias also posted personal bests in the 50 free (27.09) and 100 back (1:20.68), marking steady progress for the Beckley native.
Women's Team
Freshman Neda Vaičaitė turned in a standout day, winning the 100 back (1:03.98) and finishing runner-up in both the 50 free (25.95) and 100 free (58.47) — all three personal best swims for the Lithuanian newcomer.
