RIO GRANDE, Ohio — WVU Tech volleyball finished regular-season play Saturday afternoon with a 3–0 setback (9-25, 14-25, 18-25) at the University of Rio Grande inside Newt Oliver Arena.

The Golden Bears (6-28) will advance to the River States Conference Tournament as the No. 8 seed and travel to top-seeded IU Kokomo for Tuesday's first-round matchup.

Rio Grande (23-11) hit .315 as a team and used a balanced offense to control each frame, while Tech battled through extended rallies and late-set surges in the second and third.

• Ivana Burgos led Tech with five kills, adding four digs and a block assist.
• Aniston Treadway and Gabriela Lattu each tallied four kills, with Lattu posting a .143 attack percentage and one block assist.
• Anaís González distributed eight assists and recorded a service ace and two digs.
• Addison White notched seven assists and seven digs while directing Tech's offense.
• Nevaeh Wooding contributed two block assists at the net.
• Peydon Smith and Yukari Furuichi Blanchard anchored the back row with four digs apiece.

WVU Tech finished with 17 kills, 16 assists, one ace, two solo blocks and 32 digs as a team.
