RIO GRANDE, Ohio — WVU Tech volleyball finished regular-season play Saturday afternoon with a 3–0 setback (9-25, 14-25, 18-25) at the University of Rio Grande inside Newt Oliver Arena.
The Golden Bears (6-28) will advance to the River States Conference Tournament as the No. 8 seed and travel to top-seeded IU Kokomo for Tuesday's first-round matchup.
Rio Grande (23-11) hit .315 as a team and used a balanced offense to control each frame, while Tech battled through extended rallies and late-set surges in the second and third.
