Golden Bears fall in Rainbow Six Siege opener

WVU Tech dropped its Rainbow Six Siege season opener Wednesday, falling to Kansas State by scores of 7-2 and 7-1.

In the opener, the Golden Bears picked up two rounds and Kansas State won five to take the 7-2 result. In the nightcap, Patrick Hilbert (Hilbert225) led Tech with 8 kills, while Noah Tucker (bizzy.biyombo) and Andrew Gwinn (amgscythe) combined for 9 kills and 5 assists. Shannon Fray (thefray300) and Ty Bock (BockShiesty) added stops defensively, but Tech managed just one round in the 7-1 loss.

Opponent highlights: Kansas State's Zenxo and gugga topped the board with a combined 18 kills in the second game.
