Golden Bear Athletes of the Week | September 1-7, 2025

Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for September 1-7, 2025 were announced Monday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department. Sophomore Julia Silva (women's soccer) and junior Ivana Burgos (volleyball) highlight the week's honors.

Silva, who hails from Canada, posted two goals in Tech's draw against Pikeville towards six points last week. The sophomore finished with six shots, three on goal.

Burgos, a Coamo, Puerto Rico native, recorded 37 kills and 36 digs to go with four assists and a block assist over four matches and the Golden Bears earned their first W in 2025.
