GRAYSON, Ky. - WVU Tech men's basketball dropped an 108-82 River States Conference (RSC) road decision to Kentucky Christian on Tuesday night in Grayson, Kentucky.
The Golden Bears (4-9, 1-2 RSC) were led by Ian Goings with 26 points on 10-for-19 shooting. Brandon Moore added 19 points, while Liam Craven and Trayten Woods finished with 11 points apiece.
Kentucky Christian built separation early and carried a 56-38 lead into halftime behind a big first half from Markell Hood, who finished with a game-high 47 points on 18-for-23 shooting, including 5-for-8 from three.
WVU Tech showed more rhythm offensively in the second half, scoring 44 points after the break, but Kentucky Christian continued to score efficiently and closed the night shooting 64.5 percent from the floor (40-for-62) and hitting 14 three-pointers.
The Golden Bears forced 19 turnovers and recorded 16 steals, turning those stops into 19 points off turnovers, but Kentucky Christian won the rebounding battle 45-30 and scored 58 points in the paint.
