BECKLEY, W.Va. – WVU Tech Rainbow Six Siege earned its first NECC victory of the season Wednesday night inside the Golden Bear Esports Lab, sweeping the University of Alabama at Huntsville 2-0 behind a dominant 7-1 win on Club House and a strong 7-4 finish on Fortress.
Patrick Hilbert (Hilbert225), Andrew Gwinn (amgscythe), Noah Tucker (bizzy.biyombo), Ty Bock (BockShiesty) and Tobias Hill (salad) powered Tech on both maps as the Golden Bears controlled the tempo early and closed the match with a steady defensive effort in Game Two.
Game One – Club House
WVU Tech 7, UA Huntsville 1
The Golden Bears set the tone immediately on Club House, building momentum round by round and limiting UA Huntsville's answers on attack. Hilbert led the way with 14 eliminations, while Gwinn added nine. Tucker finished with six as WVU Tech cruised to a 7-1 decision to open the match.
Game Two – Fortress
WVU Tech 7, UA Huntsville 4
UA Huntsville pushed back on Fortress, but WVU Tech stayed composed and closed out the series with balanced production across the lineup. Gwinn delivered a big all-around map with nine eliminations and 10 assists, and Tucker posted a team-high 12 eliminations. Hilbert and Bock each added nine, and Hill contributed key rounds as the Golden Bears secured the 7-4 win.
