BECKLEY, W.Va. – WVU Tech women's basketball has added Kylie Meadows to its coaching staff as an assistant coach ahead of the 2026-27 season.
Meadows joins the Golden Bears after most recently serving as head girls' basketball coach at Shady Spring High School. During her time with the Tigers, she helped the program double its win total from the previous two seasons.
She brings an extensive playing background to Tech that includes stops at two NAIA programs and professional experience in Puerto Rico, Portugal and Cyprus.
Meadows completed her collegiate career at Bluefield University, where she developed into one of the most productive players in program history. She scored 1,324 points during her three seasons with the Rams and finished her career as the program's second-leading scorer at the time.
After averaging 13.1 points and 6.8 rebounds per game during her first season at Bluefield, Meadows increased her production to 18.9 points and 8.6 rebounds the following year. She averaged 17.2 points and 8.6 rebounds during her final collegiate season, recording 11 double-doubles and helping the Rams advance to the second round of their conference tournament.
Meadows was a three-time team MVP and two-time first-team all-conference selection at Bluefield. She earned second-team Virginia Sports Information Directors All-State honors in consecutive seasons and was also a two-time team captain and two-time Offensive Player of the Year. She received Bluefield University's Individual Performance of the Year award in 2023.
She finished her collegiate career with more than 1,500 points and was a four-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete.
Meadows began her college career at Oregon Institute of Technology. As a freshman, she helped Oregon Tech advance to the Sweet 16 of the NAIA National Championship. She moved into the starting lineup during her sophomore season as the Owls finished 19-12 before transferring to Bluefield.
Following her collegiate career, Meadows played professionally for Montañeras de Morovis in Puerto Rico before competing on a EuroBasket tour in Portugal. She later signed with the Moufflons of Nicosia in Cyprus, where she averaged 18.6 points, 14.4 rebounds, 1.7 steals and one block per game.
Meadows earned five Cypriot Division A Player of the Week honors while helping the Moufflons reach the playoffs and finish third in the league. She was named Newcomer of the Year and earned Cyprus First Team and All-Import First Team honors.
After another EuroBasket tour in Portugal, where she averaged 14.6 points and seven rebounds per game, Meadows returned to Cyprus and signed with ENAD of Nicosia. Her season was cut short by a knee injury.
A native of Mountain Home, Idaho, Meadows was a standout at Mountain Home High School. She became the first player in program history at the time to score more than 1,000 career points and was named the 2018 Southern Idaho Conference Player of the Year. Meadows was also a two-time first-team all-conference selection, two-time second-team all-state honoree, two-time team MVP and two-time team captain.
Meadows earned a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice and a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in justice administration from Bluefield University.
