WVU Tech Athletics

Kotheimer is from Templeton, California and attended Templeton High School. Following graduation he played college ball at San Francisco State University and WVU Tech. He spent the 2017-18 season as a student-manager with the WVU Tech baseball team while he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sport management.

Kotheimer spent the summer of 2018 as the head coach of the Covington Lumberjacks of the Valley Baseball League in Virginia. He guided the Lumberjacks to the regular season championship after the team had finished in last place the previous season. Kotheimer was named 2018 Valley Baseball League Coach of the Year.

Prior to coaching in the Valley League, Kotheimer spent the summer of 2017 as the hitting coach for the Arroyo Seco Sentinals of the Southern California Collegiate Baseball League.

During his college career, Kotheimer successfully hit over .300 for three out of his four years and was an All-Conference selection his sophomore year.
