Corey Acord, a Beckley, West Virginia native, has been a member of the WVU Tech coaching staff since 2020 and now serves as Interim Head Coach. During his time on staff, the Golden Bears have compiled an impressive 85-50 record, highlighted by a River States Conference Championship in the 2020-21 season.

Acord grew up playing basketball locally at Woodrow Wilson High School before continuing his academic journey at West Virginia University, where he earned a master’s degree in Sport Management.

Off the court, Acord enjoys spending time with his wife, Ashley, to whom he has been happily married for five years.
