Sturm enters his first year as WVU Tech's assistant men's basketball coach after serving West Virginia University men's basketball for five seasons.
The Parkersburg, West Virginia native was a student manager for four seasons and head manager for two of those. Sturm also spent one year on staff as a graduate assistant where duties included film breakdown, opponent scouting reports, assisting with on campus recruiting visits and activities and WVU basketball camp director.
He graduated from WVU in 2018 with a major in athletic coaching education and minors in business administration and sport communication. Sturm is currently pursuing his master's degree in coaching and sport education through WVU.
