Stephanie Kot enters her fourth season as the women's soccer head coach with WVU Tech after two seasons as the assistant coach.
At Tech, Kot has accumulated a record of 25-22-13 including a historical season for the program in 2015 when the team finished 14-6, marking the most wins since at least 2007.

Kot comes to WVU Tech by way of Mountain State University where she was the Head Coach for the 2011-12 season.

As the third head coach in the MSU’s history, Kot worked with a very young defensive squad that made integral improvements over the course of the year.

The Long Island, NY native was a two-sport athlete in high school playing soccer and competing for the track team. She attended Marshall University with a soccer scholarship where she was a four-year starter at center back for the Thundering Herd. In her freshman and senior years, Kot received the leadership award that is given to the most outstanding female soccer athlete at Marshall. After completing her undergraduate degree in Business Management, Kot continued her education completing her Masters of Adult & Technical Education while working as one of the team members in the Marshall University H.E.L.P. (Higher Education for Learning Problems).

Prior to becoming the head coach at Mountain State University, Kot led several successful club soccer teams over the last six years in the tri-state area. Throughout her career, she has coached youth club programs, high school teams, and, currently, is a staff coach for the West Virginia Olympic Development Program. Kot holds a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) National License as well as United States Soccer Federation (USSF): Class ‘D’.
