Stough comes to Tech from Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania where he was an assistant coach since August 2013. At Wilkes, he helped the team go 18-3 in 2013-14. The Colonels placed a wrestler on the NCAA All-American team and made it to the NCAA Championships.
As a Colonel, Stough wrestled at 174 for four seasons, finishing his senior year 16-14. In his junior year, Stough finished 28-13 and with a third place finish during the Metropolitan Conference Championships.
Stough is a native of Friendsville, Maryland who received his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Wilkes University.
