Junior Sam Laughton has been named a Golden Bear Star Performer for Oct. 8-14.

Laughton helped lead the way for the Golden Bears in their 15-1 victory over Virginia Western Community College Oct. 11. The junior produced his first hat trick of the season and the third of his career, netting three goals.

The Liverpool, England native has tallied 24 points in 2014 with eight of each, goals and assists. Laughton has fired 17 shots, 11 on goal with a season-high three shots on goal vs. VWCC.

The son of Frances and Simon Laughton studies business at WVU Tech.
