Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for February 6-14, 2021 were announced Thursday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department. Freshman Guillermo Usechi (men's swimming) and sophomore Brenna Emery (women's swimming).

Usechi, who hails from Barcelona, Spain, earned two second place showings during the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Championship – he touched at 1:44 in the 200 Free and 47.77 in the 100 Free.

He helped the 200 Medley Relay (5th), 800 Free Relay (4th), 200 Free (5th), 400 Medley Relay (4th) and 400 Free Relay (5th) to top five finishes.

The freshman also ended fourth in the 500 Free.
