Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for August 29 - September 4, 2022 were announced Monday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department. Senior Christopher “CYVET” Grassi (esports) and senior Carmen Camino Falcon (women's cross country) highlight this week's honors.

A native of Capon Bridge, West Virginia, Grassi aka “CYVET” had a strong showing as the Golden Bears defeated Campbellsville University 2-0 to kick off the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fall NACE Starleague tournament. Grassi played with the character Byleth who appears in Fire Emblem: Three Series.
