Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for November 8-14, 2021 were announced Wednesday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department. Sophomore Isaiah Casto (wrestling) and freshman Mia Wildman (women's swimming) highlight that week's honors.

Casto led Tech during the Averett Cougar Open, garnering a fifth place showing at 174 lbs. He was 6-1 during the open, redeeming himself on his only loss by defeating that same opponent, Khalil Mitchell (Averett), later in the day. Casto took down Hunter Thompson (Shenandoah) with a Fall (1:55) in his final bout to earn 16 team points.

Wildman, who hails from Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa, touched first in the 200 Backstroke as the Golden Bears faced St. Andrews University and William Peace University in a tri-meet. Wildman also garnered a third place showing in the 50 Free and finished fourth during the 100 Breaststroke.
