BECKLEY, W.Va. — WVU Tech Athletics has announced its Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for Sept. 28-Oct. 4, recognizing sophomore Neda Vaicaite of swimming and junior Rylan Ellison of esports for standout performances during the week.

Vaicaite recorded three top-four individual finishes at the WV Small College State Games, highlighted by a victory in the 50-yard backstroke.

The sophomore won the 50 back in 28.68, finished second in the 50 freestyle in 25.05 and placed fourth in the 100 freestyle with a time of 55.83.

Vaicaite is a sophomore from Šilainiai, Lithuania.
