Roche Wimberly (Maple Heights, OH) played all forty minutes for the Golden Bear basketball team at the University of Rio Grande this past Saturday. Wimberly scored 11 points and led all rebounders with 15. The Maple Heights native also recorded her second highest total in blocks, with 6 on the afternoon. Roche recoded 8 blocks against UVA-Wise earlier this season.

The double-double performance marks the freshman’s third of the season. She currently ranks nineteenth in NAIA DI in blocks per game (1.7) and eleventh in the NAIA DI in total blocks this season with 38.

This is Roche’s first Student-Athlete of the Week award on the season.
