Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for August 19-25, 2024 were announced Monday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department. Senior Madison Boswell (senior) and junior Sandra Garcia Quilez (women's soccer) highlight the week's honors.

Boswell, who hails from Ronceverte, W.Va., led the team with 50 kills over four matches, averaging 3.57 per set. The senior added 13 digs and four blocks during the Onset Invitational.

A native of Zaragoza, Spain, Garcia Quilez made five stops after 90 minutes for the Golden Bears. She has a .714 save average after the Golden Bears' first contest of the season.
