Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for March 3-9, 2025 were announced Thursday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department. Sophomore Ashleigh James (softball) and freshman Xavier Trovesi (men's swimming) highlight the week's honors.

James, who hails from Logan, Ohio, earned two wins from the circle after 13.0 innings of work last week. The sophomore struck out eight batters while knocking three doubles and a homerun towards three RBI.

The Milan, Italy native, Trovesi, earned two All-American honors with his top-eight finishes during the NAIA National Championship. He was fourth in the 400 IM, sixth in the 200 IM and 10th in the 200 Breast.
