Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for Oct. 20–26, 2025, were announced Monday by the WVU Tech athletic department. Earning the spotlight this week are sophomore Julia Silva (women’s soccer) and senior Dakota P. Dietz (esports—Marvel Rivals).

Silva, a sophomore midfielder from Canada, delivered a four-goal week to power WVU Tech’s push up the RSC standings. She scored the game-winner in the 53rd minute against IU East in a 1–0 victory on Oct. 23, then recorded a hat trick on Oct. 25 to cap a 10–0 Senior Night win over Kentucky Christian. This marks Silva’s second Golden Bear Athlete of the Week honor this season, following her first Sept. 1-7.
