Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for Oct. 20–26, 2025, were announced Monday by the WVU Tech athletic department. Earning the spotlight this week are sophomore Julia Silva (women’s soccer) and senior Dakota P. Dietz (esports—Marvel Rivals).

Dietz, a senior from Ridgeley, West Virginia, starred across two Marvel Rivals matches, totaling 82 kills and 34 assists. Competing under the gamertag NinjaRemover, he opened the week with 19 kills and 15 assists against Southern Indiana on Oct. 21 before sweeping MVP honors in a 63-kill, 19-assist performance versus Illinois Springfield on Oct. 22.
