This week’s honors go to senior Alexis Sexton (basketball) and freshman Neda Vaicaite (swimming) who delivered standout performances on the hardwood and in the pool. Alexis Sexton (Lexington, S.C.) Sexton delivered one of the most complete performances of her WVU Tech career, pouring in a career-high 32 points in the Golden Bears’ 84–79 road win at Alice Lloyd. The senior guard shot a remarkable 12-of-15 from the field, went 3-of-3 from three, and added five rebounds, four assists, two steals and three drawn charges while playing a team-high 36 minutes. Sexton continues to rank among the River States Conference top scorers, averaging 16.4 points and 7.4 rebounds per game through the end of November.
