Sophomore Alex Combs has been named a Golden Bear Athlete of the Week for January 3-9, 2017.

Combs combined for 38 points in three games last week including a perfect 7-for-7 effort at the foul line throughout the week. The Southgate, Kentucky native also combined for 17 rebounds, seven steals, six assists and three blocks.

The 20 points she put up during the win against Brescia marked a season-high off of 7-for-11 shooting from the field.
