Freshman Luke Jobson has been named a Golden Bear Athlete of the Week for January 27 - February 1, 2017.

Jobson qualified for the NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships (March 2-4) Friday while competing in the 3000 Meter Race Walk at the Findlay Indoor Track and Field Classic Friday. Jobson finished the race with a time of 13:39.56, which puts him puts him at No. 3 in the nation (NAIA), for a third place finish.

This is the the second time the Sydney, NSW, Australia native will participate nationally in the Race Walk competition. Last season Jobson participated in the 5000 Meter Race Walk during the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships where he earned All-American accolades with a sixth place finish (26:43.18).
