Wheeler led the women's squad during the UC Relay and Alumni Invitational with three third place finishes, two as an individual and one with a the relay team of fellow classmates Meghan Goldman, Kaeley Boyd and Jaelynn Parks.

The Shelby, North Carolina native ran to a PR of 1:04.57 in the 400m dash while clocking a 29.18 during the 200m dash. The relay team finished the 4x800m relay after crossing the line at 11:07.80.
