Byrd combined for 42 kills over three matches, recording double-digits in each contest. The Parkersburg, West Virginia native also picked up ten digs to go with three block assists and two block solos on defense.

Byrd posted a hitting percentage of .552 in the Gold and Blue's victories over Cincinnati Christian University and Salem University and the tough five-set match at IU Kokomo.
